Saks Fifth Avenue, NY, NY seeks Directors Fulfillment & Order Management Systems - Responsible for the evolution of a centralized order management system such as Sterling OMS (Previously called Yantra) Product that manages order status, omni channel inventory and order promising.  Working with target state services in order form a high-speed promising and fulfillment platform that optimizes the fulfillment process and ultimately manages the best fulfillment and delivery service in Retail. within this retail industry. Will lead the strategy, innovation, architecture, engineering and maintenance of all order management and integration technology that supports’s eCommerce business to include leading medium or large scale projects with Sterling OMS. Will build a team of software engineers that architect, design, build and support custom services, integration and streaming platforms which manage the flow of orders and related information in support of to include leading Geographically located team members & partners. Work closely with VP’s, Directors and other leaders across the company to enable a multi-billion dollar ecommerce business.  Support the current services that support OMS and Fulfillment, while developing a target state that simplifies the overall architecture, increases fault tolerance and stability, and moves the organization to a more modern API based integration architecture using Jboss or WebSphere as an application Server, Oracle or DB2 as a DataBase. and using Java Programming with Servlets, JSP, EJB & JDBC and working with continuous integration and deployment cycles and using tools including Github, ClearCase and SVN. Oversee build out of the OMS team, including developing hiring, training, retention and employee engagement plans. Partner with other technology leaders to enable fast, efficient delivery of large and small projects. Develop a technology roadmap that aligns to overall business objectives while yielding a more stable and simplified omni channel architecture. Architect, design and build the high-speed optimization platform that supports omni channel order fulfillment. Evolve and mature the support and stability of the IBM OMS solution. Develop maintenance, backup and recovery plans for all technology in the distribution centers.  Oversee implementation of technology and processes necessary to ensure continuity during any failures. Develop integration architecture and strategy for simplifying the system environment.  Oversee migration to API based architecture. Leverage both technical capability and business understanding to support 24/7 live applications and resolving issues that require immediate attention working well under pressure utilizing strong collaboration skills. Direct a team responsible for addressing any application support tickets and emails, ensure system stability and monitoring, and deliver defect and enhancement code releases. Will travel 5% US and/or Int’l to other company locations to launch Projects. May Telecommute.

Requires Bachelor’s (or foreign educ. equiv.) Degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, closely related field and Five (5) yrs. (post-degree, progressive) experience in Job Offered or related.  Experience must have included: Working on Sterling OMS (Previously called Yantra) Product; Use of Jboss or WebSphere as an application Server; Use of iBM MQ Queueing technologies for Integrations; Use of Oracle or DB2 as a DataBase; Use of Java Programing with Servlets, JSP, EJB & JDBC; Working in retail industry specifically; Lead role in Medium or large Scale Projects with Sterling OMS; Designing Solutions around Order Management System; Working with continuous integration and deployment cycles and using tools including Github, ClearCase and SVN; and Leading Geographically located team members & partners.
