HBC Digital, New York, NY seeks Product Managers - Determining and defining the functional scope of technical projects that introduce new systems features and functionalities and/or improve upon existing e-commerce features and functionalities. Providing expertise in Product Management by bringing new features and functionality to the company website by enhancing existing features set and collecting and analyzing Data specific to customer journey on the website.  Assembling and prioritizing banner-specific strategic systems roadmap initiatives, as well as incorporating company-wide objectives into a technical project plan and work in Sprints using Agile methodology and use of JIRA to assimilate product user stories and Confluence for detailed documentation related to hypothesis, requirements and implementation.  Having deep involvement in all aspects of getting a product to market – from collaborating with the company’s Software Development/Engineering, UX Design, Product, and other Editorial/Creative teams on the development of software design specifications, to evaluating user needs and performing cost/benefit analyses of proposed projects in order to determine priority and feasibility of implementation.  Partnering with another Product Manager on multiple projects to clarify program intent, identifying problems and recommending changes, systems upgrades and/or solutions to senior management.  Working closely with Project Managers to ensure that projects are proceeding according to schedule and meeting functional and software design specifications.  Driving the design and development of technical specifications and testable systems software and applications for custom platforms.  Participating in the Design, Development, Quality Assurance, and UAT (or “User Acceptance Testing”, which is the last phase of the software testing process) cycles, and then signing off on all development projects prior to website “go live” implementation.  Identifying and soliciting internal recommendations for website improvement and technical product roadmap development using Web analytics tools including Google Analytics to understand various user behaviors including traffic, device, origin, page views and funnel length to drive insights and product decisions.  Having responsibility for maintaining and leading the implementation of any systems software enhancements and changes that need to be made to the various web applications, while ensuring such activities adhere to the HBC Group’s overall technical development and configuration standards.  Ensuring all applicable technical/functional documentation pertaining to specific SDLC phases (“systems development life cycle”, or also referred to as the “application development life cycle,” which is a term that is used to describe a process for planning, creating, testing and deploying information systems and/or an application) are properly prepared and maintained.  Leading A/B testing and usability study designs and the execution of such for major projects to include creating hypothesis and audience allocation for A/B testing experimentation on both Client and Server side and analyze the experiment and declare winner by analysis and observation.  Analyzing the software engineering limitations of the company’s systems and applications, capabilities and performance requirements, and making recommendations to improve technical infrastructure optimization and configuration. Evaluating workflows with cross-functional Software Development and Engineering teams when required and recommending solutions to meet the requirements of a given technical project using Elastic Search, Splunk and Kibana (ELK) to diagnose technical errors and get low level insights into Front End and Back End services to ensure correct working of a Product or feature.  Conducting performance tuning as required on design mappings, workflows, or SQL (Structured Query Language) and writing efficient SQL scripts to query structured Oracle and MySQL databases and unstructured Hadoop and Cloudera databases, store results in Database Views and export in CSV files.  Performing analyses on functional specifications, use cases and usability scenarios, as well as Return on Investment and creating requirements and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for new features and enhancing existing features on the website and present to stakeholders.  Researching and recommending technical best practices based on competitive analysis conducted for website development projects, providing expertise in Product Management by bringing new features and functionality to the company website by enhancing existing features set and collecting and analyzing Data specific to customer journey on the website. Measuring, monitoring and documenting project performance and providing the organization with post-launch results analyses and creating dashboards and reports in Data visualization tools including Tableau to provide visibility to stakeholders into product performance. Partnering with downstream teams to develop design and testing requirements on projects related to the company’s Order Management Systems, Product Information Management tools and other backend systems.  Acting as a liaison between the IT, Quality Assurance, Merchant, Creative, Copy and management groups to reach consensus on the technical specifications required for new systems and/or website features and functionality.  Working with and providing knowledge transfer to support various cross-functional applications and technical teams in the implementation of design mappings, the creation of workflows, implementation of enhancements and the resolution of any complex systems software issues. 

Requires Master’s (or foreign educ. equiv.) Degree in Business Administration, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer/Management Information Systems or related field and Three (3) yrs. experience in Job Offered or related occupation. Alternatively, will accept Bachelor’s (or foreign educ. equiv.) Degree in Business Administration, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer/Management Information Systems or related field and five (5) yrs.
