What This Position is All About:


The Director of IT Services  is accountable for the supervision and direction of front line employees in the production control area. This individual will manage all activities required for implementation of production schedules using corporate scheduling packages.

The Director  will work closely with both the IT Operations Shift Managers and the Senior Director, Data Center Operations  in the development and maintenance of employee scheduling, performance metrics and quality assurance processes. This individual will provide guidance, direction and leadership  as we modernize our environment.

This individual will provide direction and manage the production control staff and is accountable for the performance and results of the team. This individual will become actively involved in daily operations when required to meet schedules or to resolve complex problems. The group will achieve and deliver business targets stated in the SLAs (Service Level Agreements) to increase quality of service and user satisfaction. 

To assist with the oversight and prioritization of IT projects, to ensure IT projects align with technology that best provides return on investment aligning to both the business and IT strategies.

Who You Are: 

  • Strong leadership and an ability to handle tense situations and resolve conflicts.

  • Proficiency with standard office computer and web applications (i.e. Microsoft or Google Office Suites)

  • 10 years of experience and Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of Information Technology.

  • Knowledge of technology SLA’s as well as technology governance, risk, and compliance.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including collaboration and analytical thinking.

  • Ability to communicate with both onshore and offshore teams.

  • Ability to define problems areas and recommend possible solutions.  

  • Be available to be contacted off-shift as needed.

You Also Have:.

  • Infrastructure support and management experience in Mainframe and distributed systems

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience working with an IT Infrastructure aligned with the business.

  • 3+ years of experience providing first level support for enterprise IT systems in a corporate setting, including diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents for the following products: ESP/ENCORE Scheduler, UC4 Scheduler, ZEKE Scheduler, CA Workload Automation / DE

  • 2+ years of experience writing IT technical documentation.

  • 5+ years of work experience requiring interaction with senior leadership.



As The Director, IT Services, you will:


  • Ensure daily schedules are prepared and loaded

  • Develop and enforce the scheduling policies and procedures

  • Facilitate all scheduling changes for the production environment driving towards 1 scheduling system.

  • Work with support staff on batch issue resolution in the scheduling environment

  • Manage the ESP, UC4 Zeke and CA/DE batch schedules and service deliverables

  • Enforce standards in the scheduling environments

  • Assist operations in managing the batch throughput in the different operating environments to meet service level expectations

  • Participates in shift-change communication and updates to ensure continuity of position responsibilities

  • Assist operations working with programmers for resolution on job interruptions and delays.

  • Maintain and publish documentation in the scheduling environment

  • Enforce change management requirements

  • Maintain up-to-date and effective internal processes (including Automation processes) and documentation for all key functions within the Team.

  • Maintain and update internal / external audit controls and test requirements

  • Interacts with vendors and support teams while coordinating recovery.

  • Participate and lead efforts towards the reduction of the mainframe environment.

  • Communicates with Computer Operations, Helpdesk and affected users to make them aware of the issues and related consequences.
