This role is accountable for the management and delivery of Hudson’s Bay (HB) supply chain & logistics optimization projects with a strong focus on distribution / fulfilment center solutions design and implementation. The Solutions manager will partner with Ecomm and retail distribution, Transportation, Procurement, Digital Store Operations and IT teams to optimize HB’s supply chain, identify areas of opportunity, to determine best practice methodologies and establish new processes.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Manage and control cross-functional and cross-divisional capital solutions projects
  • Perform analysis or coach team members on the analysis required to deliver solutions (technology, infrastructure, processes)
  • Develop future engineered solutions for HB’s Supply Chain and material flows
  • Optimize processes and establish SOPs in order to reduce costs and maximize efficiency
  • Develop business cases and ROI analysis for proposed capital projects and optimization initiatives
  • Partner with procurement and operations to implement solutions
  • Maintain ongoing communication with all project stakeholders and the PMO
  • Promote and execute Lean Management / Six Sigma initiatives
  • Travel to other HB locations: head offices, DCs, and stores as per each inititiave
  •  University degree in Engineering, supply chain, or business required
  • 3-5+ years of solutions engineering, process advisory, supply chain/logistics or process mangement experience
  • Demonstrated capacity for project leadership, with the ability to drive projects and accept accountability for project objectives, progress and quality
  • Proven ability to perform complex analyses and identify solutions to resolve specific business needs
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodology
  • Solutions implementation experience in distribution environments preferred
  • Persuasive communication skills, ability to present recommendations in a proessional and impactful way
  • IT skills including WM, TMS systems, SQL, .NET, Oracle would be an asset, MS-Office is required
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical and creative thinker, proactive solution-oriented approach
